Miss. Code Ann. § 65-3-71.391: Miss. Code Ann. § 65-3-71.391

(1) The section of Mississippi Highway 57 located in Greene County, Mississippi, that begins at Canaan Land United Pentecostal Church in Leakesville, Mississippi, and extends approximately one (1) mile east to the Big Creek Bridge in Hillman, Mississippi, shall be known as the “Purple Heart Highway” in honor of Rawleigh X.L. Bradley, who was injured during the Korean Conflict and was subsequently awarded the Purple Heart.

(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.
