The director, secretary, agents, inspectors, clerks and employees of the commission appointed under this article shall receive such reasonable compensation as may be fixed by the commission. The director and all agents, inspectors, clerks, and other employees shall be reimbursed for all actual and necessary traveling and other expenses and disbursements incurred or made by them in the discharge of their official duties. Such compensation and expenses shall be paid from funds appropriated for the support of the commission.
