15-7-105: Purpose.

In order to produce more uniform appraisal of property throughout the state by encouraging technical training in the principles, methods, and techniques of appraising property and promoting a higher level of professionalism among appraisers, the legislature hereby establishes a system of instruction, examination, and certification for all appraisers. The legislature finds further that members of the Montana tax appeal board must be permitted to benefit from the department's training and receive any instruction that the board considers relevant.
