In enforcing the provisions of parts 1 through 5 or any other law pertaining to weights and measures, the department may, in the manner provided by law for peace officers, arrest violators, conduct searches and inspections, and seize for use as evidence incorrect or unsealed weights and measures or packages of commodities unlawfully used, possessed, offered, or exposed for sale or unlawfully sold.
