N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143C-9-10: Health Advancement Receipts Special Fund.

(a) Creation. - The Health Advancement Receipts Special Fund is established as a nonreverting special fund in the Department of Health and Human Services.

(b) Source of Funds. - Each State fiscal quarter, the Department of Health and Human Services shall deposit in the Health Advancement Receipts Special Fund an amount of funds equal to the total nonfederal receipts for health advancement calculated under G.S. 108A-147.3(b) for that quarter, minus the State retention component under G.S. 108A-147.8 for that quarter, and plus the amount transferred by the Department of Revenue to the State Treasurer for the Health Advancement Receipts Special Fund under G.S. 105-228.5C.

(c) Use of Funds. - The Department of Health and Human Services shall use funds in the Health Advancement Receipts Special Fund only for the purposes described in G.S. 108A-147.13. (2023-7, s. 1.6(c); 2025-89, s. 2B.12(c).)
