N.C. Gen. Stat. § 58-23-20: Termination.

A pool or a terminating member must provide at least 90 days' written notice of the termination or cancellation. A workers' compensation pool must notify the Commissioner of the termination or cancellation of a member within 10 days after notice of termination or cancellation is received or issued. (1985 (Reg.
