N.C. Gen. Stat. § 90-270.95: (Effective October 1, 2026) Qualifications of applicants for licensure; application; fee.

Any person who desires to be licensed under this Article and who meets all of the following:

(1) Is of good moral character.

(2) If an applicant for physical therapist licensure, has been graduated from a physical therapist program accredited by an agency recognized by either the U.S. Office of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

(3) If an applicant for physical therapist assistant licensure has graduated from a physical therapist assistant educational program accredited by an agency recognized by either the U.S. Office of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, then the applicant shall apply to the Board for licensure as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. At the time of making that application, the applicant shall pay to the secretary-treasurer of the Board the fee prescribed by the Board, no portion of which shall be returned.
