N.J. Stat. § 11A:10-3: Noncompliance.

Noncompliance. The Civil Service Commission may assess all administrative costs incurred under N.J.S.11A:4-5. Other costs, charges and fines of not more than $10,000.00 may be assessed for noncompliance or violation of this title or any order of the Civil Service Commission.
