N.J. Stat. § 39:4-14.3f: Accident reports.

8. Article 15 of chapter 4 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes pertaining to accidents and reports shall be applicable to all accidents involving low-speed electric bicycles and motorized bicycles. Any law enforcement officer investigating an accident in which a low-speed electric bicycle or motorized bicycle is involved shall report the accident to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission and to the Department of Transportation. The report shall include information relating to the cause of the accident and extent of injury, if any, to the operator and such other information as may be required.
