N.J. Stat. § 40:24-9: Court defined; jurisdiction.

The word "court" as used in this chapter means and includes the Superior Court, municipal court and any judge having the powers of a committing magistrate; and jurisdiction for the purpose mentioned herein is hereby conferred upon said courts and judges respectively.
