For the purposes of NRS 41.0305 to 41.039, inclusive, a person who volunteers to a county school district or to a local law enforcement agency to serve as a crossing guard for a county school district shall be deemed an employee of a political subdivision of the State if the person has successfully completed a training course in traffic safety that has been approved by a local law enforcement agency.
