CHAPTER 449A - CARE AND RIGHTS OF PATIENTS
WITHHOLDING OR WITHDRAWAL OF LIFE-SUSTAINING TREATMENT

“Qualified patient” means a patient 18 or more years of age who has executed a declaration and who has been determined by the attending physician or attending advanced practice registered nurse to be in a terminal condition.
