PROVIDER ORDERS FOR LIFE-SUSTAINING TREATMENT

“Emergency care” means the use of life-resuscitating treatment and other immediate treatment provided in response to a sudden, acute and unanticipated medical emergency in order to avoid injury, impairment or death.
