NRS 616A.190: “Employee”: Certain members of state, county and local departments, boards, commissions, agencies or bureaus; adjunct professors of Nevada System of Higher Education; members of Board of Regents.

Members of state, county and local departments, boards, commissions, agencies or bureaus, whether elected or appointed, who serve without compensation or who receive less than $250 per month compensation, the members of the State Board of Education, adjunct professors of the Nevada System of Higher Education and the members of the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada, while engaged in their designated duties as members and adjunct professors, shall be deemed, for the purpose of chapters 616A to 616D, inclusive, of NRS, employees receiving a wage of $250 per month and, in the event of injury while performing their designated duties, are entitled to the benefits of those chapters.
