LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES OF REGISTRATION FOR AND REGULATION OF COSMETOLOGISTS, HAIR DESIGNERS, ADVANCED ESTHETICIANS, ESTHETICIANS, NAIL TECHNOLOGISTS, HAIR BRAIDERS, SHAMPOO TECHNOLOGISTS, MAKEUP ARTISTS, ELECTROLOGISTS, APPRENTICES AND INSTRUCTORS; REGULATION OF PRACTICE
General Provisions

All examinations of applicants must:

1. Include both practical demonstrations and written or oral tests, except where otherwise provided in this chapter.

2. Not be confined to any special system or method.

3. Be consistent in both practical and technical requirements and of sufficient thoroughness to satisfy the Board as to the applicant’s skill in, and knowledge of, the practice of the occupation for which a license or certificate of registration is sought.
