N.Y. Alternative County Government Law § 607: Retirement system

§ 607. Retirement system. Persons who are members of an existing

pension or retirement system, or beneficiaries or prospective

beneficiaries thereof, shall continue to have the rights, privileges,

obligations and status with respect to such system which are now or

hereafter may be provided by law and the benefits of such system shall

not be diminished or impaired by reason of the enactment of this

chapter.
