N.Y. Education Law § 280: Penalty for disobedience to library law, rules or orders

§ 280. Penalty for disobedience to library law, rules or orders. The

commissioner of education is hereby authorized to withhold its share of

public school moneys from any city or district which uses school library

moneys for any other purpose than that for which they are provided, or

for any wilful neglect or disobedience of the law or the rules or orders

of said commissioner in the premises.
