N.Y. Education Law § 309: Schools of union free school districts and cities

§ 309. Schools of union free school districts and cities. The schools

of every union free school district and of every city in all their

departments shall be subject to the visitation of the commissioner of

education. He is charged with the general supervision of their boards

of education and their management and conduct of all departments of

instruction.
