N.Y. Education Law § 4306: Powers of board of visitors

§ 4306. Powers of board of visitors. The board of visitors shall

visit and inspect such school, recommend the appointment and approve the

removal of a superintendent of such school and have such other powers

and duties as may be required or authorized by the board of regents.
