N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law § 27-1111: Public participation and education

§ 27-1111. Public participation and education.

The department shall establish a public information program which

addresses:

1. The nature and dimension of the industrial hazardous waste

treatment, storage and disposal facility siting problem.

2. The need for the establishment of a statewide hazardous waste

facility siting plan including the need to site any additional

industrial hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities

and the role of waste reduction, recycling and reuse in the planning

process.

3. The necessity and opportunities for public participation in the

siting and planning process.
