§ 49-0101. Legislative findings.

The legislature hereby finds and declares that:

The state enjoys an abundance of natural and man-made beauty which

greatly enriches the lives of the people of this state. The

preservation, enhancement and promotion of this beauty will contribute

significantly to the enjoyment of the people who live and work in the

state, as well as the millions of visitors who come to the state each

year. Further efforts by state government are needed to coordinate and

promote programs contributing to the natural and man-made beauty, and to

provide advice and assistance to local governments.
