N.Y. Executive Law § 175-b: Municipal option

§ 175-b. Municipal option. Nothing contained in this article shall be

construed to prevent any municipality from adopting or enacting any

local law, ordinance or regulation imposing more restrictive

requirements for the solicitation of contributions for law enforcement

support organizations, provided, however, that nothing permitted by this

section shall be construed to modify or be inconsistent with the legal

standards in this article that are applicable to individuals and

organizations other than law enforcement support organizations and

professional fund raisers and solicitors which are employed by such law

enforcement support organizations even when such other individuals and

organizations act jointly and together with such law enforcement support

organizations.
