§ 581-206. Jurisdiction, and exclusive continuing jurisdiction. (a)
Proceedings pursuant to this article may be instituted in New York state
supreme court, family court or surrogates court.
(b) The court conducting a proceeding under this article shall have
exclusive, continuing jurisdiction of all matters relating to the
determination of parentage until the child attains the age of one
hundred eighty days, whereafter continuing jurisdiction shall be
determined by the jurisdictional standards of section seventy-six of the
domestic relations law.
(c) Subject to the jurisdictional standards of section seventy-six of
the domestic relations law, the court conducting a proceeding under this
article has exclusive, continuing jurisdiction of all matters relating
to the determination of parentage until the child attains the age of one
hundred eighty days.
