N.Y. General City Law § 57: Article limited

§ 57. Article limited. 1. This article shall not apply to any of the

following cities: New York, Binghamton, Schenectady, Elmira, Hornell,

Olean, Poughkeepsie and Cortland.

2. This article, with the exception of section fifty-six-a thereof,

shall not apply to the city of Glens Falls, the city of Middletown and

the city of Beacon.
