N.Y. General Construction Law § 10: Acknowledge and acknowledgment

§ 10. Acknowledge and acknowledgment. The terms acknowledge and

acknowledgment, when used with reference to the execution of an

instrument or writing other than a deed of real property, include a

compliance with the provisions of the next section by either such proof

or acknowledgment.
