N.Y. New York City Civil Court Act § 2202: Referees

§ 2202. Referees. An official referee of the city court of the city of

New York or of the municipal court of the city of New York in office at

the time this act takes effect shall for the remainder of his term of

office be an official referee of this court. He shall perform such

duties and discharge such functions in this court as would an official

referee of the supreme court perform and discharge therein, or such

duties and functions as may be assigned to him by the appellate

division.
