N.Y. Public Authorities Law § 1138*2: Authority to take affirmative action

* § 1138. Authority to take affirmative action. 1. The authority in

awarding contracts for designs, construction, services or materials for

projects authorized by this title shall ensure that all employees and

applicants for employment are afforded equal opportunity without

discrimination.

2. For the purposes of article fifteen-A of the executive law only,

the authority shall be deemed a state agency as that term is used in

such article, and its contracts for design, construction, services and

materials shall be deemed state contracts within the meaning of that

term as set forth in such article.
