N.Y. Public Housing Law § 17: Occupancy preference

§ 17. Occupancy preference. The occupancy of any state project shall

be restricted to persons of low income and preference shall be given to

persons who live or shall have lived in the substandard or insanitary

area or areas which have been or will be cleared, replanned,

reconstructed or rehabilitated pursuant to a plan.
