N.Y. Public Housing Law § 55: Projects undertaken by municipalities

§ 55. Projects undertaken by municipalities. Any municipality may

undertake one or more projects, and for that purpose, any such

municipality is hereby given the rights, powers and privileges and shall

be subject to the duties and obligations granted to or imposed upon

authorities with respect to projects by the provisions of this chapter.

The municipality, however, shall be subject to the provisions of the

local finance law, except as otherwise provided in section 20.00 of such

law.
