N.Y. Real Property Law § 447-f: Enforcement

§ 447-f. Enforcement. 1. The provisions of this article may be

enforced in accordance with article eight of the multiple dwelling law

or article eight of the multiple residence law, as applicable in the

covered jurisdiction where the short-term unit is located.

2. Counties that are covered jurisdictions may enter into agreements

with a booking service for assistance in enforcing the provisions of

this section, including but not limited to an agreement whereby the

booking service agrees to remove a listing from its platform that is

deemed ineligible for use as a short-term rental unit under the

provisions of this article, and whereby the booking service agrees to

prohibit a short-term rental host from listing any listing without a

valid registration number.

3. The attorney general shall be authorized to bring an action for a

violation of this article for any such violations occurring in the

state.

4. A covered jurisdiction shall be entitled to bring an action for a

violation of this article for any such violations of this article

occurring in the covered jurisdiction, and may notify the attorney

general.
