N.Y. Religious Corporations Law § 349: Vacancies among layman trustees

§ 349. Vacancies among layman trustees. If any layman trustee of an

incorporated church to which this article is applicable declines to act,

resigns or dies, or ceases to be a qualified voter at a corporate

meeting thereof, or has his trusteeship terminated by any other means,

his office shall be vacant; and such vacancy may be filled by the

remaining trustees until the next annual corporate meeting of such

church; at which meeting the vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired

term.
