N.Y. Second Class Cities Law § 155: Subordinates

§ 155. Subordinates. The superintendent of buildings may appoint such

subordinates as may be prescribed by the board of estimate and

apportionment to hold office during his pleasure, and who shall receive

such compensation as shall be fixed by said board.
