N.Y. Social Services Law § 369-l: Establishment of program

§ 369-l. Establishment of program. 1. There is hereby established

within the department of social services the health insurance

continuation program for persons with AIDS.

2. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law, the

commissioner, subject to the approval of the director of the budget, may

apply for appropriate waivers under federal law and regulation or take

other actions to secure federal financial participation in the costs of

the program; may waive or modify any provisions of this chapter or

regulation of the department to implement this title; or may promulgate

such regulations as necessary to implement this title.
