N.Y. Town Law § 283: Issuance of licenses and permits in certain towns

§ 283. Issuance of licenses and permits in certain towns. If, in any

town of the first class at the time of the enactment of this chapter,

there exists a building department, set up as an adjunct of the planning

board, all licenses or permits, whenever and in the manner required by

any building zone ordinance, local law or building code, shall be issued

by said department, and all fees therefor be collected as provided by

the requirements of the building zone ordinance, local law or building

code.
