N.Y. Transportation Law § 170: Application of article

§ 170. Application of article. This article shall apply to common and

contract carriers of property by motor vehicle except common carriers

providing transportation of household goods as defined in paragraphs (a)

and (b) of subdivision fifteen of section two of this chapter.
