N.Y. Vehicle & Traffic Law § 509-w: Penalties

§ 509-w. Penalties. Upon conviction for a violation of any provision

of this article or the rules and regulations of the commissioner of

transportation promulgated pursuant thereto, the court shall impose a

sentence consisting of a fine of not less than two hundred fifty dollars

nor more than one thousand dollars.
