N.Y. Vehicle & Traffic Law § 509-y: Rules and regulations

§ 509-y. Rules and regulations. The commissioner of transportation, in

consultation with the commissioner, is hereby authorized to adopt rules

and regulations to implement the provisions of this article which shall

be no less protective of public safety than the rules and regulations

promulgated by the federal government with respect to the qualifications

and disqualifications of drivers.
