a.

Definition. For purposes of this section, the term “trail” means a path within a natural area that is reserved for recreational activities, such as walking or bicycling, and on which the use of motor vehicles is prohibited.

b. The commissioner shall post on the department’s website a map of trails in each park or property under the jurisdiction of the department. The department shall update such map upon completion of any project to improve a trail or to create a new trail.

c. The commissioner shall consider how any project that improves a trail or creates a new trail could improve public access to such trail.
