N.Y.C. Admin. Code § 21-209: § 21-209 Mental health training for senior center case workers.

a.

Definitions. For the purposes of this section, the term "caseworker" means an individual employed by a senior center that receives funding from the department to provide services on-site pursuant to a contract procured under chapter 13 of the charter and through a source selection method established by procurement policy board rule, who provides case assistance, information and referrals for benefits and social services at such a senior center.

b. Each caseworker shall complete a training to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental illness for older adults offered by the department of health and mental hygiene or a successor agency, provided that such department offers such training.

c. At least once every three years after completing the training described in subdivision b of this section, each caseworker shall receive supplemental refresher training, provided that the department of health and mental hygiene or a successor agency offers such training.
