a. For the purposes of this section, the term "summer meal" means any meal provided to children by the department, or by any city agency collaborating with the department, following the end of the current school year and prior to the beginning of the next school year.

b. No later than June 1, 2018, and annually thereafter no later than June 1, the department shall make available information regarding summer meals including, but not limited to, locations where such meals will be available, the times and dates during which such meals will be available and any guidelines regarding eligibility for such meals. Such information shall be:

1. Posted on the department's website, the website of any city agency collaborating with the department and the website of the 311 customer service center;

2. Distributed to council members, borough presidents, community boards, community education councils, parent associations and parent teacher associations; and

3. Provided to every student, and shall include the three locations nearest to each student's school of attendance where such meals will be available, at the time such information is provided.
