Nothing contained herein shall be construed to prohibit the use of a master electrician license by the holder thereof for or on behalf of a partnership, corporation, or other business association provided that such partnership, corporation, or other business is a master electrician business registered with the department pursuant to section 28-429.7. Where the department has issued a violation notice for work performed by an unlicensed person or work performed without the required permit and where such work is otherwise in compliance with the New York city electrical code, a responsible representative may file an application for a permit or take any other actions with respect to such work directed by the department to address the violation.
