N.Y.C. Admin. Code § 6-316: § 6-316 Green cleaning products.

a. Beginning June 1, 2009, the city shall purchase and use green cleaning products to the maximum extent practicable, as determined by the director. Such green cleaning products shall meet the health and environmental criteria for the relevant product category as established by the director.

b. The director shall publish on the director's website a non-exhaustive list of categories of green cleaning products that may be purchased by the city to comply with this section. The director shall review such list and make appropriate revisions, if any, in accordance with subdivision b of section 6-304.
