Pursuant to an application filed with the department, existing fire alarms systems and watchman’s detectors can be removed from HEXAs without substitution, notwithstanding that a number of rooms may have occupancies of 90 days or less. This section D1005 shall not be construed as to permit occupancies in HEXAs for periods of less than 30 days where such occupancy would be in violation of Section 4(8)(a) of the MDL.
