Chapter 12: The New York City Existing Building Code (effective July 17, 2027)

This appendix applies to all existing multiple dwellings whenever erected or whenever converted, including prior code multiple dwellings and including multiple dwellings erected or converted after July 1, 2008. See Section D301 regarding the applicability of certain chapters of this appendix to the various multiple dwelling classifications.
