N.Y.C. Admin. Code § EBC D301: D301 Applicability.

Alterations, additions, repairs, change of occupancy, and relocation of all existing multiple dwellings, whenever erected or converted, shall comply with the provisions of this code and any applicable provisions of this Chapter. Multiple dwellings shall also comply with the applicable provisions of chapters as outlined by classification in Table D301.
