A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to making eligible for a rent increase exemption senior citizens receiving public assistance who occupy a rental unit otherwise eligible for tax abatement
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

§ 10. This local law shall take effect immediately and shall be retroactive to and shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect as of August first, nineteen hundred eighty-five, and notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of title Y, YY or YYY of chapter fifty-one of the administrative code of the city of New York, any person who on or after August first, nineteen hundred eighty-five would have satisfied the criteria for eligibility for a rent increase exemption order set forth in chapter fifty-one of the administrative code of the city of New York as amended by this local law shall be eligible for such order and may file an application within ninety days of the enactment of this local law. Any such order issued to such applicant shall be effective as of August first, nineteen hundred eighty-five.
