Chapter 46-A: Voting by Lawful Permanent Residents and Persons Authorized to Work in the United States

Municipal voters shall be deemed qualified or registered voters, and enrolled voters where they have chosen to enroll in a political party, for purposes of signing and witnessing petitions in relation to designation and nomination for municipal offices and in relation to municipal referenda but shall not be otherwise be so deemed pursuant to applicable provisions of the election law or any other law.
