Ohio Rev. Code § 1357.06: Lien on proceeds.

A consumer legal funding agreement places a lien on the proceeds of the consumer's legal claim that supersedes all subsequently perfected liens on such proceeds other than liens directly related to the legal claim and expressly authorized by state or federal law, such as a lien for attorneys fees, a lien by the department of medicaid under section 5160.37 of the Revised Code, a medicare lien under 42 U.S.C. 1395y, or a workers' compensation lien under section 4123.931 of the Revised Code.
