Ohio Rev. Code § 3335.27: Control of station.

The engineering experiment station shall be under the control of the board of trustees of the Ohio state university, through the regular administrative and fiscal officers. The board shall appoint a director on recommendation of the president of the university. The director shall select suitable subjects for investigation, apportion the available funds, and with the consent of the board may provide for the dissemination of the results to the people of the state.
