Ohio Rev. Code § 5103.0329: Waiver of non-safety standards for kinship caregivers seeking foster home certification.

A recommending agency may submit a request to the department of children and youth, on a case-by-case basis only, to waive any non-safety standards for a kinship caregiver seeking foster home certification. Non-safety standards include training hours and other requirements under sections 5103.031 and 5103.032 of the Revised Code and standards established by rules adopted under sections 5103.03 and 5103.0316 of the Revised Code, in accordance with 42 U.S.C. 671 (a)(10).
